There are a few general types of playlists on Spotify:
1) Algorithmic - these are AI driven and triggered by your song being responded to well by a specific community (ex. country pop, heavy metal, etc.)
2) Editorial - these are playlists curated by Spotify's staff (the account name will say "Spotify" and have the Spotify logo on it).
3) User Curated - these are playlists curated by Spotify users all around the world.
Some user curates Spotify playlists are made by bloggers, label owners, or social media influencers, etc., and others are just your average person who had a list that a lot of people liked. These are the people that we pitch to for campaigns.
