What's the difference between Courage Studios and other Spotify promotion companies like Playlist Push or SoundCampaign?

  3. What's the difference between Courage Studios and other Spotify promotion companies like Playlist Push or SoundCampaign?

Playlist Push or SoundCampaign are among many Spotify song promotion companies that run what we would call "automated software campaigns." These can be awesome but are different than how our company markets artists/songs. Explanation below:

Automated software campaign companies typically have the following things in common:
1) They allow anyone to purchase their services
2) They run campaigns on your behalf through metadata that you provide at the origin of purchase
3) Because the campaigns are automated, their prices are typically lower than high-touch marketing agencies to make up for the inconcistencies in results (mainly due to either operator error with inaccurate targeting and/or poorly targeted metadata in their database.

Automated software campaigns can sometimes be great and other times be hit and miss, depending on:
1) How accurate their database is for each sub-genre in their network and
2) How categorizable the promoted song is for the targeted sub-genre category.

Many artists have come to work with us from both of those companies (as well as many other automated software campaign companies) because:
1) Their songs got continually declined (even though targeting the right sub-genre to their discernment) because the playlists tagged for those sub-genres either aren’t really accurate or are super specific/niche, or
2) Their songs got added by super broad playlists that may have a song or two in their sub-genre but aren’t really going to help them trigger the algorithm (ex. They’ll get pitched and added to something like "Summer Bangers 2022" or "Barack Obama’s Playlist" even though they targeted Alternative Hip Hop and were hoping to get on a playlist that was specific to their sub-genre, like "Alternative Hip Hop Workout").

While we love automation (and have additionally seen automated software campaigns outperform our results a few times), our experience has been that, the majority of times, people get better marketing results under a high-touch model that involves experience marketers manage your campaign for the highest potential results.

However, the natural solution to this is having a high-ticket marketing agency that can cover the costs of a high-touch model, which most artists can't consistently afford from song to song.

We try to exist as a hybrid or "middle ground" between automation software campaigns and high-ticket marketing agencies by using automation, data, and tight systems to make our prices as affordable as possible to artists while offering high-touch, human marketing servcies that avoid unnecessary errors and help you get the best results possible.
