We recommend doing the following:
1) Feature the Spotify editorial playlist on your Spotify Artist playlists section of your Spotify profile. (If you don't have a verified profile yet, go to https://artists.spotify.com to claim your profile)
2) Consider also featuring the Spotify editorial playlist on the artist pick section of your Spotify profile.
3) Do a social media story and permanent post shoutout to @spotify and @spotifyforartists, thanking them for adding your song (say song name) to their Spotify playlist (say the name of the Spotify playlist). Many people do a screenshot of their song on the playlist. Spotify loves when you show them thanks and when you send traffic to their platform.
4) Ask close friends who like your music and your style of music to go to the Spotify playlist, make sure they saved/liked/hearted your song, and then stream it and the playlist for a long session time. This lets Spotify know that you are bringing traffic onto the platform that came to listen to your music, then stays on Spotify for a long session time, which is great data for them to see.
From what we've seen, doing all 4 of these increases your chances of being featured on future Spotify editorial playlists, so we highly recommend doing this if your song gets featured.
